Tour Laguna Humantay Trek 1Day
The Humantay Lagoon is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Peru. It is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Cusco. Its turquoise waters crowned by the imposing snow-capped Salkantay give it a unique beauty. Since the time of the Incas this lagoon was adored by the Andean settlers. It is the third most popular tourist attraction in Cusco, after Machu Picchu and the 7 Color Mountain.
ITINERARY
5:00 AM Pick up from your hotel in our private van and transfer to the trailhead.
7:00 AM breakfast in our restaurant at the beginning of the trail.
The walk takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Once we arrive at the lagoon, we will be able to walk and explore the area and take spectacular photos of the Humantay mountain next to the turquoise lagoon.
The walk back takes around 1 hour.
12:30 PM a buffet lunch will be served in our restaurant.
After lunch, we take our van back to Cusco.
The tour will end in Cusco around 4 pm with the transfer to your hotel
DETAILED ITINERARY OF THE HUMANTAY LAGOON TREK.
DAY 1.- CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – HUMANTAY LAGOON – CUSCO.
After spending time at Lake we return to the trailhead at Soraypampa and then hike 2 more hours to our camp located at Soyroccocha. There we enjoyed tea time and then dinner. We sleep early, ready for the walk of the next few days.\
In this small and picturesque town we will have a well-deserved breakfast to fill us with energy, then we will continue our trip to the starting point of the walk to the town of Soraypampa which is located at an altitude of 3,900 meters above sea level. After a short break, we will start our journey towards the Humantay lagoon located at a height of 4,180 meters above sea level, after the ascent of approximately 1 hour 20 minutes we will be able to appreciate the wonderful Humantay lagoon and on the other side the imposing Nevado de Salkantay, after the explanation of our guide and take the souvenir photos we will have some time to enjoy the place and return to our Soraypampa camp to have our lunch with beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains and later they will be transferred to the city of Cusco, arriving at 5:00 p.m. about.
